Standard issue, EM/NCO’s blackened leather construction waist belt is roughly, 1 5/8" wide and 35 3/4" long, with a leather retaining tongue and a magnetic sheet metal buckle catch both intact. The buckle catch end of belt is folded over and stitched to the reverse to secure the catch. The reverse of the belt is in natural tan leather and is well marked with an impressed size stamp, "90". The blackened leather retaining tongue has its original stitching and seven pair of parallel length adjustment buckling holes. The reverse of the belt also has faint, handwritten script. The belt is in overall very good condition with minimal chafe wear to the obverse and the leather is still quite supple.

 

EM/NCO'S LEATHER WAIST BELT IH-621
Roughly, 1 3/4" wide, 31 1/2" long, olive drab canvas web construction belt with a field-grey painted, steel buckle catch to one end and a tan leather buckle retaining tongue to the reverse of the other end. The buckle catch end of belt is folded over and machine stitched to the reverse to secure the catch in place. The buckle catch retains about 95% of its original field-grey paint. The buckle end of the belt is rounded off and has tight reinforcement stitching. The reverse of the belt has a machine stitched, tan leather buckle retaining tongue with seven pair of parallel, punched, buckle retaining holes. The reverse of the tongue is well marked with deeply stamped RB number. Of Note: The RB numbers, Reichsbetriebnummer, (National factory code numbers), were introduced in late 1942 and were intended to replace the manufacturers marks on garments and equipment to conceal the manufactures name and location from the allies, to prevent bombing raids on German industrial factories. The reverse of the belt is also marked with a black size inkstamp, "85". The belt is in overall excellent unissued condition with minimal age toning.

 

EM/NCO'S TROPICAL BELT IH-622

EM/NCO'S BELT IH-623
Roughly, 1 3/4" wide, 38" long, bright silver/aluminum brocade belt features two roughly, 1/4" wide, evenly spaced, dark green, parallel, horizontal stripes. The belt has two sliding, vertical, "keepers", with one positioned on either side of buckle, in the same brocade as the belt with two roughly, 1/8" wide, vertical dark green stripes. One end of belt is folded over to the reverse and stitched in place to retain the opened, rectangular, natural aluminum buckle retainer and the buckle. The other end of the belt comes to a pointed tip and the reverse has a machine stitched, pebbled, natural tan leather retaining tongue with nine pair of parallel buckling holes. The retaining tongue is well marked with impressed size, "110". The reverse of the belt has a protective field-grey wool backing machine stitched in place. The belt comes with a roughly, 1 7/8" diameter, die stamped, two piece, natural aluminum, circular belt buckle. The buckle features a highly embossed oak-leaf wreath encompassing a central Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings on a subtlety textured, slightly domed central field. Both eagle and wreath feature nice detailing which is only enhanced by light to moderate age tarnishing. The reverse of the buckle is a mirror image of the obverse and has a separate circular plate insert with a crimped catch and retaining hook. The circular plate is secured by the crimped outer edges of the buckles obverse. The buckle has no visible manufacturers markings. The natural aluminum buckle securing bar is intact and the belt has the addition of two handstitched vertical thread loops to the obverse also intended to receive the buckle catch. Both the belt and buckle are in overall very good condition with the belt still being quite clean and bright and light to moderate age tarnish to the buckle. The belt would roughly fit waist sizes ranging from 31" to 36".

 

OFFICER'S BROCADE BELT & BELT BUCKLE IH-624

Nice quality black doeskin wool construction cufftitle with machine embroidered simulated handwritten Copperplate style script, "Großdeutschland", in silver/grey threads. The cufftitle is bordered at both the top and bottom edges in a silver/grey Russian braid. The cufftitle measures roughly 30mm wide and 40cm long. The reverse of the cufftitle is the typical opened back type and reveals the reverse of the embroidery.

 

"GROßDEUTSCHLAND" CUFFTITLE IH-626
Roughly, 1 1/4" tall, 14 1/4" long, woven, dark green, rayon construction cufftitle featuring machine woven, Gothic style script, "Großdeutschland", in bright, silver/aluminum flat-wire threads. The cufftitle is bordered at both the top and bottom edges in vertically woven, bright silver/aluminum flat-wire threads. The reverse of the cufftitle has loosely woven, vertical, silver/aluminum flat-wire threads and shows the script in a green rayon mirror image. The cufftitle is in overall good condition with light to moderate age and usage toning and the minor fraying to both ends. Scarce early, short lived, first pattern, Großdeutschland cufftitle.

 

"GROßDEUTSCHLAND" CUFFTITLE IH-627
Roughly, 1 1/4" tall, 16 1/2" long, woven, mid-brown, rayon construction cufftitle featuring machine woven, Gothic style script, "Feldgendarmerie", in silvery/grey rayon threads. The cufftitle is bordered at both the top and bottom edges in vertically woven, silvery/grey rayon threads. The reverse of the cufftitle has loosely woven, vertical, silvery/grey rayon threads and shows the script in a mid-brown rayon mirror image. The cufftitle is in overall very good condition with minor age and usage toning and minor fraying to both ends.

 

"FELDGENDARMERIE" CUFFTITLE. IH-628
Roughly, 1 1/4" tall, 20" long, machine woven, tan rayon construction cufftitle with a repeating, interwoven, waffle pattern and machine, "BeVo", woven, Sütterlin style script "Feldherrnhalle" in silvery/grey celleon threads. The cufftitle is bordered at both the top and bottom edges in six strand, horizontally woven, silvery/grey celleon threads. The reverse of the cufftitle has loosely woven, vertical, silvery/grey celleon threads around the script and the script is in a tan rayon mirror image ob the obverse. The cufftitle is in overall very good condition with minimal age toning and some minor fraying to the unfinished ends. Scarce cufftitle.

 

60TH PANZER GRENADIER DIVISION "FELDHERRNHALLE" OFFICER’S CUFFTITLE IH-629
Roughly, 1 3/8" tall, 17 3/8" long, woven, brushed, khaki/tan, camelhair construction cufftitle features machine embroidered, capitalized Latin script, "Afrika", flanked by palm trees to either side in silver/grey cotton threads. The top and bottom edges of the cufftitle are bordered in horizontal, silver/grey Russian braiding. The reverse of the cufftitle is the typical opened backed type and reveals the reverse of the embroidery.

 

"AFRIKA" CUFFTITLE, 1943 IH-630
Roughly, 2 1/4" tall, 15 1/2" long, woven cotton construction, official pattern armband with a multi-colored, printed design featuring horizontal, red bordered, top and bottom edges and a black/white/black center stripe. The armband has white printed Latin script, "Deutscher Volkssturm Wehrmacht", (German People’s Militia Armed Forces), in two lines, to the front center which is flanked by a white national eagle, with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika to either side. Both the top and bottom edges of the armband have a dual-ply, machine stitched, hem and the reverse has a central, machine stitched, vertical seam.

 

"DEUTSCHER VOLKSSTURM WEHRMACHT" ARMBAND IH-631
The roughly, 1 1/4" tall, 15 1/2" long, machine woven cufftitle features a horizontal, dark green cotton center stripe with diagonally ribbed, horizontal, bright silver/aluminum flat-wire edge trim and narrow, horizontal, tan rayon borders to both the top and bottom edges. The dark green center stripe features machine woven, block Latin script, "Afrikakorps", in bright silver/aluminum flat-wire threads.

 

"AFRIKAKORPS" CUFFTITLE. IH-632
 
 
Roughly, 1 3/8" tall, 21" long, full length, woven, mid-brown, wool construction cufftitle featuring hand embroidered, Gothic style script, "Feldgendarmerie", in bright, silver/aluminum wire threads. Both ends of the cufftitle have a machine stitched, vertical seam and cufftitle has the opened back, construction as typically found on Luftwaffe style cufftitles with the top and bottom edges folded over and machine stitched to the reverse. The opened back reveals a loosely woven, protective, black fabric backing.

 

"FELDGENDARMERIE" CUFFTITLE IH-633
The insignia consists of a roughly, 4 1/2" tall, 3 1/8" wide, dark green wool construction, vertical, diamond base with a machine embroidered, stylized, Tyrolian style eagle in red cotton threads with yellow accents threads and an opened, green laurel leaf wreath flanking its head. The eagle is clutching a black and white bordered, white circle with a central, canted, black swastika. The eagle is positioned above the light green, machine embroidered script, "Standschützen Bataillon Bregenz". The diamond base has a machine embroidered, fine yellow cotton thread, outer edge border stripe. The reverse of the insignia has a protective white rayon backing panel.

 

"STANDSCHÜTZEN" BATTALION SLEEVE DIAMOND IH-634
Bright woven silver/aluminum wire construction marksman’s lanyard grade acorn consisting of a circular crown top section and a cylindrical bottom section mounted on a carved wooden template. The circular top crown features finely embroidered silver/aluminum threads in a repeating, opened, diamond pattern, overlaid on additional silver/aluminum wire threads. The cylindrical bottom section is constructed of finely embroidered silver/aluminum wire threads with a repeating HBT, (Herring Bone Twill), weave. The top crown has a central, interwoven piece of silver/aluminum braiding designed to attach the acorn to a lanyard and the bottom section has a central hollowed out section.

 

MARKSMAN'S LANYARD GRADE ACORN IH-635
The insignia consist of a roughly, 4 1/8" tall, 3 7/8", wide, machine woven, ribbed, blue/green rayon construction shield shaped base with scalloped top tips featuring a highly detailed machine woven pattern. The machine woven pattern features a black Wehrmacht style eagle with down swept wings clutching a canted swastika in it’s talons with white accent threads to the center, superimposed over dual likeness’s of the unfurled, Infantry Standard. The white based standards each feature a smaller, black, Wehrmacht style eagle on a white field encompassed by a silver/aluminum flat-wire oak-leaf wreath, superimposed on a stylized black Iron Cross, bordered in silver/aluminum flat-wire. The artillery standards also have a small black swastika in each corner and silver/aluminum finials and streamers with tassels. The bottom of the shield has five large oak-leaves with dual acorns again in silver/aluminum flat-wire threads.

 

INFANTRY STANDARD BEARER'S SLEEVE INSIGNIA IH-636
The insignia consists of a roughly, 5 1/4" tall, 3" wide, machine woven white rayon construction, vertical, shield shaped base with a vertical, machine woven, black and white, Roman style broad sword superimposed on a black and white bordered black shield. The hilt of the sword extends beyond the top of the black shield.

 

EM/NCO'S M32 TROOP SPORTS SHIRT INSIGNIA IH-637
Roughly, 1 1/4" tall, 1 1/4" circumference, woven, bright, silver/aluminum wire construction marksman’s lanyard grade acorn consisting of a circular, top, crown section and a cylindrical, bottom section, mounted on an internal template. The circular, top crown features finely embroidered silver/aluminum threads in a repeating, opened, square pattern, overlaid on additional silver/aluminum wire threads. The cylindrical bottom section is constructed of finely embroidered silver/aluminum wire threads with a repeating HBT, (Herring Bone Twill), style weave. The top crown has a central, interwoven, silver/aluminum wire loop, designed to attach the acorn to the lanyard.

 

MARKSMAN'S LANYARD GRADE ACORN IH-638
The grade three Panzer personnel’s marksmen’s lanyard consists of a roughly, 10 1/2" long, 3/4" wide, heavy, twisted, interwoven, bright, silver/aluminum braid with closed buttoning loops to both top and bottom ends. The lanyard has the addition of an interwoven, silver/aluminum wire knot to both the top and bottom edges of the braiding. The reverse of the braiding has a protective, ribbed, pale grey, strip of rayon neatly handstitched in place to prevent chafe wear on the uniform. The top of the lanyard has a roughly, 2 1/8" tall, 1 5/8" wide, matte silver washed, stamped, alloy construction, vertically oval shield. The shield features an embossed, repeating zig-zag and bead pattern with a Wehrmacht style eagle with down swept wings, clutching a canted swastika in its talons, positioned to the top center encompassing the cut-out, left forward profile of a stylized tank. The shield device is attached to an interwoven silver/aluminum braid rosette with a protective, field-grey wool backing handstitched to the reverse to prevent chafe wear to the uniform. The shield device retains about 95% of it’s matte silver wash with minor age tarnish. The bottom of the lanyard braiding has the addition of two acorns, indicating grade three, in bright, silver/aluminum flat wire threads on a carved wooden template. Of Note: By Regulations the additional acorns should be artillery shells.

 

GRADE THREE PANZER MARKSMEN'S LANYARD IH-639
 
 
First pattern, (circa June 1936-January 1939), grade two marksmen’s lanyard consists of a roughly, 10 1/4" long, 3/4" wide, heavy, twisted, interwoven bright silver/aluminum braid with buttoning loops to both the top and bottom ends. The reverse of the braiding has a protective, ribbed, pale grey, rayon strip of fabric neatly handstitched in place to prevent chafe wear on the uniform. The top of the lanyard has a roughly, 1 5/8" tall, 1 1/8" wide, stamped, matte aluminum, vertical shield shaped base with a pebbled background field and raised outer lip with a high relief, embossed, Wehrmacht style eagle with down swept wings to the center. The shield device is attached to an interwoven silver/aluminum braid rosette with a protective mottled green wool backing handstitched to the reverse to prevent chafe wear to the uniform. The bottom of the lanyard braiding has the additional of an acorn, indicating grade two, in bright silver/aluminum flat wire threads on a carved wooden template.

 

GRADE TWO MARKSMEN'S LANYARD IH-640

Reichswehr pattern, (Circa July 1927-June 1935), officer’s dress aiguillette consists of a roughly, 14 1/2" long, 1 1/8" wide, section of dual, interwoven, bright, silver/aluminum braids, a roughly, 14" long, single, looped, braid and an additional, roughly, 25" long, single, looped, braid all attached to a small, central, button holed, silver/aluminum rectangular panel. The lower end of the interwoven section has a small, post-war replaced, glued on, nylon thread attachment loop while the shorter, single, looped braid has an interwoven, silver/aluminum wire slide.

 

REICHSWEHR ERA, OFFICER'S DRESS AIGUILLETTE IH-642
June 1935 pattern, officer’s dress aiguillette in bright, silver/aluminum braiding with two, silver washed, metal alloy ferrules. The aiguillette consists of a roughly, 22 1/2" long, 1" wide, section of dual interwoven braids, a roughly, 17" long, 1" wide, section of dual interwoven braids, a 52" long single looped braid and a 28" long section of single looped braid all attached to a small, central, button holed, silver/aluminum rectangular panel. The lower ends of both of the interwoven sections have a small, thread attachment loop and the alloy ferrules. The ferrules feature a screw off, top cap with embossed oak-leave ornamentation and a pointed bottom tip. The ferrules retain about 95% of their silver wash. The aiguillette is in overall very good condition with minimal age and usage toning and a small frayed chafe wear spot to one of the single looped braids. The aiguillette comes housed in a roughly, 8 1/4" diameter, 1 3/4" tall, two piece, pressed cardboard case with a simulated black leather covering. The case has a removable, friction fit top lid and a blue paper interior.

 

OFFICER'S DRESS AIGUILLETTE IH-643
Roughly, 1 3/16" tall, 3 3/8" long, horizontally ribbed, woven silver/aluminum wire strip with a roughly, 1/8" wide, diagonally ribbed, interwoven black rayon stripe to both the top and bottom edges and a stamped, black washed, magnetic sheet metal silhouette of a stylized Panzer III medium tank to the center. The tank retains about 95% of its original black wash with minimal surface spotting. The reverse of the strip has a protective navy blue wool backing loosely glued in place and an internal metal alloy base plate. The original three attachment prongs and corresponding holes in the base plate are clearly visible where the protective wool backing has lifted. The strip is in overall excellent, condition with minimal age toning. Scarce individual combat award.
